All children find the challenges of puberty difficult - and for all parents it can be a very trying time. However for parents raising children living with Asperger's or Autism, the puberty years can be very difficult indeed.
As your children grow and mature, their view of themselves change. They often become more aware of others around, and for young teens this can be the most challenging time as they begin to discover that they are different to others. All teens want to be the same as their friends, and as the stress and anxiety builds - kids often respond to their frustration with anger, taking it out on those they love most... their parents or siblings.
